We will relax and get out of the daily routine of the city, which sometimes can be demanding and difficult.

Holidays are our ticket to recharge our batteries and spend carefree moments where we don't have to think about what to wear or how to do our hair. Let's focus on taking care of ourselves instead!

Summer means carelessness and freedom! It's time to let our natural beauty shine!

Given that we don't want to bring a lot of hair care products or a blow dryer and flat iron with us on our vacation, what can we do to maintain beautiful natural hair that doesn't need to be styled? In addition, how can we prevent our hair from dehydration?

The answer is proper preparation! And how do we do that?

The hair experts at BAM hair salon suggest some long-lasting treatments to enjoy your hair and keep it healthy throughout your holidays, enjoying the sea and sunbathing!

  1. 1. Hydration and glow treatment

The hydration and shine treatment are done in the hair sink. It gives the hair the necessary moisture it needs to stay hydrated and shiny.

Due to the need for women to feel comfortable and save time when prepping before going to work in the morning we have made a shift to a more minimalist, simple, comfortable and natural version of ourselves.

This is something we prefer as we are finally breaking the set standards of beauty and finally embracing and bringing out who we really are.

If you want it, it has become fashionable to have a natural and unpretentious look. It suits us and we love it.

That means you don't have to do much. Learn to blow dry your hair yourself with a blow dryer and brush, experiment with parting your hair and try some hair grips so you never have a bad hair day!

Of course, the B.A.M. Hair Salon team has already taken care of this through their YouTube channel with informative videos and hair styling tutorials that you can easily do yourself at home.

Hair is the frame of your face, it's your style, it speaks of your personality! Make it your goal this year to keep your hair healthy. As we often mentioned, if styling hair with thermal tools is done too often, and without the necessary products; it can be damaging to the hair, even before the tool touches your hair.

So, if you took care of your hair over the winter and during quarantine, you're ready to welcome spring and prepare for summer with a new hair care routine.

Spring hair routine after lockdown.

As was mentioned before, winter freezes, dries, and makes hair more fragile, resulting in breakage.

 

  1. 1. Change your shampoo

The choice of your shampoo should be always according to your hair type and sulfate-free.

If you still buy your proper hair care shampoo where you buy your vegetables, then revaluate your choice…

After choosing the shampoo for your hair type then consider which need you aim to cover e.g. strengthening, hydration, density etc.

However, if you already using a quality shampoo and you are 100% satisfied, you can easily alter your conditioner according to: hair type and specific needs

  1. 2. Take care of your scalp

Healthy hair is related to healthy scalp. Even if you shampoo often, that does not mean necessarily that you take care your scalp.

For example, you may wash your face with soap twice a day but once a week you need a skin exfoliation for deeper cleansing, scrum removal, counter oily skin and black pores.

Same logic applies for your scalp.

Did you know that when the hair follicle is blocked it causes weakness and the hair becomes thinner?

So, we urge you to have a scalp exfoliation to unblock the hair follicle and remove any residue that has built up on the scalp.

At the same time, you make sure to pump blood into the area and get rid of problems such as dry skin or stubborn oiliness.

  1. 3. Book an appointment at the salon for hair and scalp treatment.

 

A full hair and scalp treatment in the salon is very important; as salon treatments are more intensive and last longer. This doesn't mean you should stop having treatments (hair massages) at home once a week.

As hair experts we believe that the ideal frequency of your hair washes is according to your needs and preferences.

There is no right and wrong about the frequency of shampooing.

Depending on your own frequency of shampooing, we suggest during the winter to dilute the frequency of hair washes, as shampooing during cold weather can dehydrate your hair even more.

So, replace some washes per week (if you wash every day) with only conditioner (without shampoo) or use leave-in conditioner.

This will help hydrate and control fizziness in your hair.

  1. 2. Hydration is your best friend

The number one rule to beat winter is hydration.

Embrace hydration by selecting shampoos, conditioners and treatments aiming for hydration.

The hair treatments you use during the winter months should be for moisturizing and restructuring once per week.

For strong and better results, you should do a hair treatment at the salon at least once per month.

  1. 3. Add shine to your hair

Naturally, hair is duller during winter. However, there is a way to fix that.

Add shine to your hair by using shimmer shine oil that fixes and restructures hair. Such product works as a leave-in treatment that you don't rinse out from the hair. In this way it deeply nourishes hair by strengthening and locking in moisture!

  1. 4. Haircut appointment

Bad weather conditions, thick clothes, and fabrics we wear during winter create friction and result in hair breakage especially at the ends.

For that reason, it's very important to maintain your regular haircut schedule during the winter months to keep your hair healthy.
